
14th Annual Lantern Floating Hawai'i 2012

Lantern Floating Hawaii 2012 is scheduled to take place Monday May 28, 2012 in Honolulu. Planning is underway for this Memorial Day tradition, already 14 years in the making. Shinnyo-en welcomes visitors from all corners of the earth to join us in this ceremony honoring all those who have passed on, including those who sacrificed their lives in war and who have been victims of, natural disasters, famine and disease. For those unable to join us in person, live footage of the ceremony will be available on the Lantern Floating Hawaii website.
On Memorial Day 2011, more than 40,000 people from around the world gathered for the 13th annual Lantern Floating Hawai'i. The ceremony, which honors all those who have lost their lives in war, natural disasters, famine, and disease, drew media attention from all over the United States.
